I have 3 or 4 guitars with FR Specials and they work fine if they are set up correctly (like anything else). The stock pickups work fine and sound good to me. I used to be all about changing pickups, but now I can just change the settings on my amp (or computer). The second batch came out recently and I got a black one and it is just as good. No sharp fret edges. Sure I had to tweak my setup. I always expect that, since no two people are going to have the same idea of what a properly setup guitar is. Could the crackle be better? Yes… is it bad? No. If you want a better crackle buy the run of 200. \n\nOnly complaints are that the pictures were advertised with a run of 200 and now it's 2000. Takes away from the collector value. The electronics are horrible. But that was to be expected, the Floyd rose is cheap. The pros outweigh the bad which isn't a big deal. Great 80s themed guitar. Also the gig bag it came with is really nice.. First things I do not recommend this as a First Guitar this is more of a collectors item the quality and overall specs are about 300 bucks overpriced you can get a ltd epiphone squier or jackson with binding better specs and overall better build but that being said if youve always wanted a new bc rich get it while it lasts. The finish is near flawless only thing i found was a tiny scratch between the nut and first fret and the tone knob did come a little lose (easy fix) and as far as being 1 of 2000 not a problem for i dont plan on re selling. And just some advice for anyone out there considering this or any guitar as their first guitar any guitar can be your first guitar its not the guitar its the player that makes you good its the practice and dedication you put its playing the same song over and over till you get it right.
